Once owned by the Straubinger family, the Hotel Straubinger and its annex, the Hotel Austria, were the largest in the entire spa town. After standing empty for over 27 years, it reopened its doors in September 2023 to transport its guests into a world full of stories and memories.

The Straubinger Grand Hotel combines the best of the past and present, where great personalities such as Emperor Friedrich III, Emperor Franz Josef and Empress Elisabeth once sought refuge. Named after the legendary Gastein family, the hotel on Straubingerplatz still writes stories today, surrounded by the thundering roar of the waterfall.

The Grand Hotel Straubinger is a place to meet and retreat to private areas at the same time. The individual style and orientation of the 46 rooms and suites offer a wide variety of perspectives and impressions of the Grand Dame and its surroundings. There is a choice of 25 superior double rooms, 12 junior suites, 5 suites and four spa suites. Standard amenities include: a large double bed, minibar, safe, coffee machine & kettle, sitting and reading corner, TV, floor-to-ceiling rain shower and WiFi. The exclusive facilities include a separate living and sleeping area (suites), bathtub (spa suites) or showers set into the floor, some with balcony (superior and junior suites).
